Detrás de mi, Vagones de Bagazo de Caña que genera la Destilería de Ron Barceló. El asunto es, que envés de ellos generar desechos, con ese mismo bagazo generan la energía que usa la destilería.

Ayer tuve la oportunidad de conocer esta localidad donde se trabaja todo lo que tiene que ver con la Caña, la extracción de su jugo, fermentación etc.. y luego hicimos el tour en el centro histórico Barcelo @visitronbarcelo, ubicado en San Pedro de Macorís, que es donde termina el proceso de elaboración del Ron.

Ayer aprendi, entre otras cosas, que el ron Barceló es el único hecho 100% a base de jugo de caña y que ellos son el único Ron en el MUNDO certificado Carbono Neutral (sino sabe que significa eso haga como yo y búsquelo en google 🤣).

El centro histórico ofrece un tour a un costo de US$15 donde aprenderás más sobre la historia general del Ron. Puedes ver el proceso de producción completa, visitar los almacenes de barrica, el museo y degustar algunos de los rones, si pagas US$25 puedes experimentar una cata más prolongada. Es recomendable ag endar la visita con antelación. Visita recomendada para amigos del extranjero y para usted Dominicano que quiera aprender más del Ron y su importancia en nuestra cultura.
